Sarvaam Foundation Canada is currently in the early stages of exploring a
new initiative focused on distributing reusable sanitary pads to
underprivileged schoolgirls. This project was initiated in response to
repeated requests from school teachers, principals, community volunteers,
and dedicated well-wishers who highlighted the urgent need for menstrual
health support in underserved communities.
We are presently engaged in discussions to assess the feasibility and long-
term impact of this program. As with all our initiatives, this project will be
formally reviewed and approved by our board and submitted for compliance
review with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).
Updates regarding the status and progress of this initiative will be posted
on this page. We encourage you to check back regularly for the latest
developments
Girls of ages 13-17 are missing their school days because of menstrual
periods, they are poor that they do not manage to buy sanitary pads, some
decide to leave school. The provision of reusable sanitary pads to girls will
make girls to concentrate on education, because they will not miss any day
during their menstrual periods and therefore they will compete with boys.
